Yuk Yuk's is Canada's national stand-up comedy company, with 17 clubs from coast to coast. The downtown Toronto club opened in 1976, and was the first official Yuk Yuk's. Many comedians started their careers at Yuk Yuk's, including Howie Mandel, Jim Carrey, Rick Moranis, Tom Green, Norm MacDonald, and Russell Peters.
